ADSUM ADVOCATES and Co. Advocates and Solicitors, is a Partnership of 2 (two), Advocates with a support staff of 2 Legal Assistants, Accountant, Legal Secretary and a Legal clerk. JOEL PHILIP OLWENY
Partner
I am a Partner at Adsum Advocates & Co. Advocates and Solicitors, with experience in legal advisory and transactional practice, providing services to individuals, corporate entities, and institutional clients.
My areas of practice include Commercial Law and Practice, with particular emphasis on contract drafting, negotiation, interpretation, and enforcement. I also advise on company secretarial matters, corporate governance, statutory compliance, and the conduct of legal audits to ensure conformity with applicable laws and regulatory frameworks.
I have advised clients in various sectors, including banking and finance, insurance, property and conveyancing, energy, and general commercial enterprises, offering legally sound and commercially viable solutions. My approach to practice is guided by precision, adherence to professional standards, and a commitment to safeguarding clients’ legal and commercial interests.
In my role as a Partner, I am involved in the strategic management of the firm, client advisory services, and the maintenance of professional, ethical, and quality standards in all matters undertaken by the firm.
PATRICK BUSOBOZI
Partner
Patrick Busobozi is a Partner at Adsum Advocates & Co. Advocates and Solicitors, specializing in Commercial Law, Land & Conveyancing, and Insurance Law.
His commercial practice encompasses corporate advisory, contract negotiation, joint ventures, and regulatory compliance, serving clients across sectors including financial services, energy, and technology. In the area of Land Law, he handles complex residential and commercial conveyancing, real estate financing, title due diligence, development agreements, and property management structuring. His Insurance Law work involves advising both insurers and policyholders on policy drafting, regulatory compliance, claims management, and risk mitigation strategies.
He has advised on significant transactions in these fields, such as the acquisition of prime commercial real estate for international retail chains, structuring financing for large‑scale energy projects, and drafting tailored insurance frameworks for clients in manufacturing and agriculture. His approach blends technical precision with a practical understanding of the local and regional business environment.
